We are honoured and excited to bring Dean Strang, the defense attorney at the centre of the 2015 Netflix documentary series ‘Making A Murderer’, as Guest Speaker at our UL Alumni Chapter Gathering on 15 March.  Dean provided legal representation for Steven Avery, twice convicted of murder in Wisconsin and came to public attention in the tv series documenting the overturning of his first conviction and the procedural details of his second. The series drew global audiences and shone a light on the US legal system.  Dean has recently taken up a position as guest lecturer at the University of Limerick.

The theme of Dean’s talk in London will be ‘How Can You Defend Those People?’

The venue for this special event is the Law Society,113 Chancery Lane, with Bank of Ireland once again generously sponsoring the event.

A welcome Reception will begin at 6.30pm with Dean’s talk at 7pm followed by Q&A.

Places are limited and we anticipate reaching capacity quickly.  There is a €10 charge for this event, all of which will be donated to the UL Foundation University of Sanctuary Scholarship Fund, to read more about this initiative click here
